Built from a belief that environmental responsibility should go beyond compliance.
The idea takes shape
The idea behind Enviraj® took shape when its founder, Rajdeep Pandey, was working with a multinational company in Mumbai on U.S. based environmental site remediation projects. Around the same period, reports highlighting Gwalior among the world’s most polluted cities brought India’s environmental challenges, particularly those affecting his own hometown, into sharper focus.
This experience led to the idea of building an environmental company focused on the needs of Indian organisations, with the objective of helping businesses move beyond regulatory compliance and integrate sustainability into their operations and decision making.
Enviraj is established
Enviraj was established with a focus on technically sound environmental solutions for Indian organisations and a broader commitment to sustainable development.
Incorporation and growth
Enviraj Consulting Private Limited was incorporated in 2019. The company developed around three principal business areas: technical consultancy, environmental compliance services and innovative product development.
Building capability and reach
Enviraj has continued to strengthen its technical capabilities and expand its environmental and sustainability practice. During this journey, the company has received incubation, mentoring and institutional support through prominent Indian academic and innovation ecosystems, including FITT, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, IIT Kanpur, IIT Roorkee and FIED, IIM Kashipur.
The company continues to work towards the purpose on which it was founded: helping organisations address environmental responsibilities through technically sound solutions while progressing towards sustainable development.

Founder & Director
Rajdeep Pandey
Rajdeep Pandey is a Chemical Engineering graduate with over 12 years of experience in environmental and sustainability consulting. He has been selected as a BIRAC SPARSH Fellow and as a Leuven MindGate delegate, reflecting his engagement with innovation and sustainability ecosystems in India and internationally. As Founder and Director of Enviraj, he leads the organisation’s technical and strategic direction and oversees the development and delivery of its environmental and sustainability assignments.
